POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Associate role is to be the primary contact with existing clients. This role helps identify their needs, build and manage client relationships, drive all client business/programs and execute an account strategy for the client.

This role should be able to independently generate new business to BrandVia and the Business Unit. This requires solid relationship and account development skills along with knowledge of available products & services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of experience in promotional products industry
  • 1 year of previous account management experience
  • The ability to be a self-directed entrepreneur is necessary
  • Excellent computer, presentation and technology skills
  • Solid experience with logistics involved with the promotional products industry and the ability to drive and manage a

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / STANDARDS

  • Face to face interface between company and client
  • Build strong client relationships by adding expertise, product knowledge and strategic brand value
  • Add vision and creativity to client needs
  • Solid understanding of all BVA services and the ability to upsell/cross-sell based on identified opportunities within an account
  • Grow account business and meet or exceed prior years revenue
  • Drives revenue through recognition and realization of opportunity with existing accounts
  • Researches and prepares presentations for clients
  • Coordination, preparation and compilation of data / information for Project Coordinator (PC)
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff, suppliers and clients
  • Mentor and guide PC’s in professional development and job performance
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
  • Manage client meetings and communications
  • Drive and set client meetings monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Set day to day expectations to client ensuring communication from BVA is clear and concise
  • Contribute expertise in all client meetings
  • Set clear agenda and expectation for meeting
  • Conduct appropriate follow up from meeting

  • Develop and customize presentations for in-person meetings, based on requirements of meetings/capabilities
  • Be well-versed in the talking points of all services and product lines of the company
  • Work with Business Development to respond to all requests for proposals under owned accounts, and assist other team members on their proposals and presentations

  • Secure payment method in advance every
  • Review and approve all pre-invoices within 24 hours of receipt
  • Work to meet or exceed BVA’s minimum margin requirements
  • Client Growth
  • Closely manage the overall goal of client and work with internal team on strategy for client
  • Be versed at all times of all current programs BVA is managing for an owned account
  • Seek new opportunities within the client and find new contacts; document quarterly targeted opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Keep abreast of latest industry trends in order to keep program fresh and on the cutting edge within the client’s industry

  • Coordinate and manage client meetings to include agenda creation, follow-up with action item report and ensure all action items are completed
  • Think on feet when working with clients or outside suppliers

  • Be attentive to everyone’s work load and assist where you can, proactively
  • Work closely with others to ensure timely completion of their tasks, assisting them when necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work – Position involves sitting, standing and/or walking. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force to move objects.
