Our Approach

We know that our values are reflected in every decision we make.  That every moment we have the opportunity to make a difference.  We recognize that the choices we make will affect our clients, our employees, and our community, not only today.  For those reasons, we elect to support and engage in not just compliance and required regulations, but work to participate and lead additional initiatives for the future.

We believe that a good business is run on good ethics. We believe that kids shouldn’t work in sweat shops, that “good for the Earth” is good for business. We believe that products we sell should be safe to use as intended and that your personal information should remain personal.

Corporate Social Responsibility

“Our team members are committed to not only products that tread more gently on the planet, and give back to the world, but in ensuring that we design this formally into our go-forward strategy for BrandVia; serving our team, our local community, and driving awareness as a thought leader for our industry at large.”

Our belief is that corporate social responsibility includes not only environment, but also workplace, marketplace, community, and governance. BrandVia’s Purpose Team is actively evaluating how our organization can maximize the impact we make on our community, employees, and industry, while lessening the impact we leave on the planet.

Our team believes there is a great opportunity to lead our industry to better solutions that offer more meaning and less waste and that there is always room for doing better than we did yesterday.

EcoVadis is an independent rating platform that assesses corporate social responsibility and sustainable procurement, covering a broad range of non-financial management systems including Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement impacts. Our ongoing efforts have gained us a silver rating and our team continues to strive for better. This effort is constantly evolving, with new opportunities and new information – ask us how we might work together for a better world.

Responsible Sourcing

We understand the processes and potential pitfalls involved in sourcing and manufacturing in a time-sensitive, global landscape and so being selective in choosing our Supplier Partners is very important to us and our clients.

Our Supplier Partner program provides our clients with the benefits of:

  • Reduced time to market
  • Lower rates of defect
  • Increased order accuracy
  • Better pricing

We are building partnerships with artisan and entrepreneurial communities both in the US and around the globe to create ethical, sustainable, and high-quality gifts for our clients and their communities. In many cases, the purchase of socially conscious gifts doesn’t just give back but creates direct impact, providing life-changing employment and opportunities for a better tomorrow.

Our sustainable products either take less from the world; leaving less ecological impact in their production, and transportation, and/or consume fewer resources OR this group of responsible products gives more to the world than they take; creating new opportunities for people, growing communities, contributing to a cleaner planet, and brighter future. Typical responsible product categories include products that:

  • Contain recycled content (rPET/ upcycled materials, etc)
  • Offset single-use items (refillable items, reusable bags, etc)
  • Leave less waste
  • Made with renewable resources
  • Locally manufactured
  • Minority-owned
  • Giveback with purchase (or Buy-One Give-One)
  • Are subtly decorated for longer lifespan and reusability

Your Security

We take security and privacy very seriously, going to great lengths to make sure sensitive data is kept secure and privacy is protected.  All of our solutions are certified for PCI compliance and we are certified for compliance with privacy laws and regulations by TRUSTe.  We are a registered member of privacyshield.gov and engage qualified independent security firms to review our policies and practices, to examine our systems and identify and remediate weaknesses.  Our online solutions undergo regular penetration tests and our general security practices are reviewed annually.

Our e-stores can integrate with your security systems to provide secure single sign-on, enabling full and dynamic access control to the online resources.  Many of our clients also elect to take advantage of our ability to integrate with their internal procurement systems; such as Oracle iProcurement or Coupa. This gives them added control over budgeting, order approval as well as the invoicing and payment process.

We do all of this so that our clients can deploy our solutions with ease and confidence knowing they are protected.

Prop 65

Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals in the products they purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By providing this information, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about protecting themselves from exposure to these chemicals. Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.
