We launched a mobile decoder promotion at Cisco GSX 2017 to promote a new internal sales support program called “Business Critical Services. We were asked to create some excitement/buzz with a contest. This program was the most complex we had done to date, with over 80 keywords, tied into a variety of events, daily prizes, booth prizes, instant wins and the ability for multiple entries, over 15 events to enter into the Grand Prize drawing for an all expense paid trip to Coachella. Instant prizes included iTunes gift cards packaged in a custom sleeve and additional incentives were offered to those who attended GSX training sessions.
Publicity included a pre-show announcement, text- to-win on signage and promo items, and a team on the show floor handing out web cam covers (10,000). In order to further measure individual contribution, we gave each member their own keyword and conducted a sub-contest for the most active members.
Team members wore Business Critical t-shirts and we designed a really cool notebook as a booth gift, where the tip-in pages looked like “handwritten notes”, outlining the key features of this new program.
